After you buy

From order to first sauna, here’s exactly what happens.

Buying a sauna is the easy part. Getting it into your backyard is where most people get nervous. We get it. Here’s how it works, step by step, so there are no surprises.

How it works

Six steps to your first sweat

Lock in your order

In Ontario and Florida, where our own crews build on site, a 50% deposit gets your sauna into our build and delivery queue, and the balance is due 3 business days before your delivery or install date. Everywhere else, payment is due in full up front. You can pay with no fees by Interac e-transfer (Canada), Zelle (US) or wire transfer.

Lead times move around through the year, but most models take 4–8 weeks. Fully custom builds take 12–20 weeks. We’ll give you a real estimate when you order.

Pick how you want it delivered

Our favourite

We build it on site

Two of our skilled carpenters bring everything in and build your sauna right on your base. On-site assembly is quoted separately once we’ve seen your base and access.

Fully assembled delivery

Some models arrive in one piece, ready to go: select Auroom models (Terra, Garda, Natura and Arti), all Saunum models and the SaunaLife G6. They’re craned into place or moved in with medium to heavy equipment.

DIY kit, delivered

We’ll coordinate third-party delivery.

Get your site ready

Every sauna needs a level, sturdy base at least as big as the sauna. A gravel pad, concrete slab, deck or patio stones all work. Whichever you choose, it should drain or run water off, so water never pools around the base of your sauna.

If we’re building on site

  • A clear path at least 6 ft wide with 8 ft of overhead clearance to the base
  • Gates open, obstacles cleared, and in winter, snow and ice cleared
  • 4 ft of working space around the base while we build

If your sauna arrives fully assembled

  • A level, sturdy pad ready before delivery day
  • Room for the equipment to get in, with obstructions cleared out of the way
  • If it’s going in by crane, clear overhead space above the pad and the lift path (wires, branches, rooflines)

About a week before your date, send us a couple of photos of your base and the way in. We’ll confirm you’re good to go, so nobody’s surprised on the day.

Permits and power

Permit and setback rules vary by area, so check with your local authorities. If you apply for a permit, we’ll send product documentation to help.

Electric heaters need a dedicated 240V circuit put in by a licensed electrician. It can be run after we build the sauna, so it doesn’t need to hold up your install.

Install day

Most saunas are built in a single day by two of our carpenters. Leil saunas usually take two days.

After the first sweat

Inspect within 24 hours

If anything arrived damaged, send us photos and we’ll repair or replace it at no cost. That includes coming back to install the replacement.

Warranty

Everything we sell is covered. Brand-name saunas, heaters and cold plunges carry their manufacturer’s warranty, and saunas and cabins we build ourselves carry our own. If anything comes up, call us first and we’ll help you with the claim.

FAQ

Good questions we hear a lot

How long until I get my sauna?

Lead times change through the year, but most models take 4–8 weeks. Fully custom builds take 12–20 weeks.

How long does install take?

Most models take one day with two of our carpenters. Leil saunas usually take two days.

Which saunas come fully assembled?

Select Auroom models (Terra, Garda, Natura and Arti), all Saunum models and the SaunaLife G6. They’re craned or moved into place with equipment, so you’ll need a level, sturdy pad, clear access and, for a crane lift, clear overhead space.

Do you deliver to my area?

Yes. We deliver saunas across North America, with showrooms in Muskoka, Ontario and Boca Raton, FL.

What if my site isn’t ready on the day?

We’ll reschedule. Changes inside 5 business days carry a fee, so send us your site photos early and we’ll help you get it right.

Can I do it myself?

Absolutely. We’ll deliver the kit to your door with full assembly instructions. Block off a weekend and grab a friend.

Do you know anyone local who can help with the base or electrical?

We have partnerships in place in a number of areas. Contact us to ask about local partners near you.

What if my site is tricky (island, steep lot, no road access)?

We can help. Island builds, steep lots and hard-to-reach properties are all doable. Every site is different, so we work these out case by case. Send us a few photos and details about your property, and we’ll come up with a plan that works for your site.

Still have a question?

Send us a few photos of your spot and we’ll talk you through it.
