Infrared sauna questions

What is a full-spectrum infrared sauna?

A full-spectrum infrared sauna uses both short-wave and long-wave infrared heaters. Our Finnmark models combine UL listed Spectrum Plus short-wave heaters with Spectrum Carbon 360° long-wave panels for even, full-body heat.

How hot does an infrared sauna get?

Our full-spectrum models reach up to 170°F (about 77°C) in under an hour, according to the manufacturer. Infrared heats you directly, so the air feels gentler than a traditional sauna.

Do I need an electrician to install an infrared sauna?

Our Finnmark infrared models are designed to plug into a standard household outlet. We confirm your circuit and space requirements with you during your consultation.

What is the difference between infrared and traditional saunas?

A traditional sauna heats the air with a stove and stones, usually at higher temperatures, and lets you add steam. An infrared sauna warms your body directly at a lower air temperature. Our Trinity combination saunas give you both. If you prefer classic heat, compare our sauna heaters and stoves.

Can I put an infrared sauna indoors?

Yes. These models are designed for indoor placement, such as a basement, spare room or home gym. See more indoor saunas, or tell us about your space and we will recommend the right size.

Does an infrared sauna need assembly?

No. Our infrared saunas are plug-and-play, so there is nothing to assemble. Delivery details are confirmed in your quote.

Is an infrared sauna right for me?

Many people use infrared saunas as part of a relaxation routine. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication, speak with your doctor first. Our guide, infrared saunas: a modern approach to wellness, explains more.
